About Kinn Thai
Kinn is a fast-casual Thai counter at Olly Olly Market, the food hall at 601 West 26th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan (What Now New York). Christy built the menu around her family’s recipes, including her grandmother’s green curry, and has run restaurants in New York City for more than a decade (Bold Journey).
What she needed
It was imperative that I get certain pieces of equipment that make sense for the small kitchen space that I have. I know what the clientele was asking me for.
Working with SBG Funding
Christy first planned to go through her bank, but that would have taken a lot longer. She found SBG Funding online and handled everything without leaving the restaurant.
I actually did all of this while working still, so it was like we were calling back and forth, texting back and forth, emailing, and within 24 hours, you know, the funds were available.
What the funding did
The new equipment let Christy expand Kinn Thai’s menu. She plans to share the experience with fellow entrepreneurs, and expects to need more funding as the restaurant grows.
U.S. restaurant and foodservice sales are projected to reach $1.55 trillion in 2026, according to the National Restaurant Association. For a small kitchen competing for that spending, the right equipment decides what can go on the menu.

The financing
SBG Funding’s equipment financing covers up to 90% of an equipment purchase, with the equipment itself as the collateral and fixed payments over 24 to 60 months.
