About Mama Mia 44SW

Mama Mia 44SW is at the corner of Ninth Avenue and West 44th Street in Hell’s Kitchen. Its story began in 1971, when Anna and Guido Schiattarella, immigrants from Naples, bought a one-window pizza shop on that corner; three generations have since cooked Southern Italian recipes there (W42ST).

What she needed

Like many restaurants, Mama Mia was still working its way back after COVID. Payroll was high, and the restaurant wasn’t bringing in enough to cover it through the end of the year.

Mostly it was the payroll. The payroll was very, very high.

Working with SBG Funding

Consiglia found SBG Funding online. She had looked at a lot of companies, and the others asked for much more. SBG’s team was friendly and answered all of her questions, enough that she wondered if it could really be that easy.

SBG is friendly, capable and reliable.

What the funding did

The funding covered payroll through the end of the year. In her words, it really worked out, and she would tell other restaurant owners to go to SBG.
