Fast business funding means getting a decision and money in your account within a day or two, not the weeks a bank can take. Every online lender advertises speed, but they measure it differently: some count from your application, some from your approval and some from the moment you sign. This guide compares what seven lenders publish about their own timelines, so you can see which are the fastest business lenders and what “fast” means at each one.
The figures below come from each lender’s own website as of November 2026. SBG Funding publishes this guide, and we’ve held our own numbers to the same standard: what our site says, including the fine print.
Approval Time vs. Funding Time
Two clocks matter when you need money quickly:
- Decision time: how long until the lender tells you whether you’re approved and for how much.
- Funding time: how long until the money is in your business bank account. Most lenders start this clock after approval, and several start it only after you accept the offer and sign.
A lender that approves you in two hours but funds three days later isn’t faster than one that approves you the same afternoon and funds the next morning. When you compare, line up the full path from application to deposit.

What Each Lender’s Fine Print Says
SBG Funding
SBG Funding is a direct provider of revenue-based financing and a marketplace offering a broad range of funding solutions through an extensive network of lenders. The online application takes about five minutes, and most applicants get a decision the same business day. Once you’re approved and your documents are signed, funds can be in your account in as little as 24 hours. Decision and funding times depend on sending all requested approval and closing documents, and same-day funding depends on your qualifications. You need $150,000 in annual revenue, a 500 credit score, six months in business and your four most recent bank statements. SBG Funding offers term loans, working capital and other financing, and doesn’t run a hard credit pull at any point in the approval process. See how the timeline works step by step on our fast business funding page.
OnDeck
OnDeck can fund the same day you’re approved, but only if you complete checkout before 10:30 a.m. ET, Monday through Friday. Funds then typically arrive by 5 p.m. local time. After the cutoff, or on a weekend or bank holiday, OnDeck’s fine print says deposits take two to three business days. OnDeck doesn’t publish how long a decision takes.
Credibly
Credibly advertises approval in as soon as two hours and funding in as fast as four hours. Its FAQ is more conservative: funds in as little as 24 hours, or one business day from approval. Revenue is measured as average monthly deposits of $15,000 or more over the last three months and the most recent month.
Fora Financial
Fora Financial gives an approval decision in as little as four hours, but that clock starts once it has all your documents. Funding takes as little as 24 hours from when you accept the offer. Fora reviews applications during business hours only.
National Funding
National Funding advertises same-day approvals and funds as soon as the next business day after approval, depending on your bank’s processing time. It doesn’t publish minimum requirements on its site. It says most of its customers have a personal credit score of 600 or higher.
Bluevine
Bluevine offers a line of credit, so speed works differently: you get a decision in as fast as five minutes, then draw funds when you need them. Approved draws arrive in as fast as 24 hours, or instantly if you have a Bluevine business checking account. Draw requests are reviewed, and a standard ACH transfer can take up to three business days.
Rapid Finance
Rapid Finance quotes in minutes and says funds may arrive within hours of approval, with business loans funded in as fast as 24 hours. It doesn’t publish minimum credit, revenue or time in business.
What Slows Funding Down
The advertised time is the best case. These are the most common reasons a fast application turns into a slow one:
- Missing documents. Most of these lenders decide on bank statements. If yours are incomplete or don’t match the revenue on your application, the decision waits.
- The signing step. Several lenders start the funding clock at signature. An offer that sits unsigned overnight costs you a day.
- Bank cutoffs. A same-day deposit usually needs everything done in the morning on a weekday. Applications finished on a Friday afternoon often fund the next week.
- Existing financing. Lenders check for other advances or loans against your revenue. Fora, for example, lists “no conflicting existing financing” as a requirement.
The Cost of Speed
Fast financing usually costs more than a bank loan. In the Federal Reserve’s 2026 Report on Employer Firms, based on its fall 2025 survey, 60% of businesses that borrowed from online lenders said their costs were higher than expected, compared with 37% at small banks and 32% at large banks.
That doesn’t make fast funding the wrong choice. It means the right comparison is the total amount you’ll repay and the payment schedule, not the headline speed. Lenders quote pricing in different ways (factor rates, monthly rates and APRs), and those numbers can’t be compared directly. Ask every lender for the total payback amount and the payment frequency, then compare those.
How to Get Funded Faster
- Have your four most recent business bank statements ready as PDFs before you apply.
- Apply early in the day, early in the week.
- Answer underwriting questions the same day they come in.
- Read and sign the offer as soon as it arrives, if it works for you.
- Use the business checking account your revenue goes into, so the statements and the deposit account match.
FAQs
Based on what each lender publishes, OnDeck and Credibly advertise same-day funding, with conditions: OnDeck requires checkout by 10:30 a.m. ET on a weekday, and Credibly’s FAQ says funding takes as little as 24 hours. SBG Funding, Fora Financial, Bluevine and Rapid Finance advertise funding in as little as 24 hours. The fastest lender for you is the one you qualify for that can decide on your application today.
Sometimes. It usually takes a same-day decision, signed documents before the lender’s cutoff and a weekday. Plan for one to two business days.
Many run a soft credit check to make an offer, which doesn’t affect your credit score. Some run a hard inquiry when you accept: Bluevine, for example, says accepting an offer may result in one. SBG Funding doesn’t run a hard credit pull at any point in the approval process.
